A Hybrid working model
Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50 of the time for most people. What does a QA Engineer does at Hogarth
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to test websites platforms and other deliverables. Primary responsibilities include executing test plans updating test reports debugging and writing defect reports verifying fixes developing test automation scripts and building automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and executetestsfor testing web and mobile applications
- Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks
- Review technical requirements author detailed test plan and test case documentation
- Identify isolate and replicate software defects research root causes and debug issues
- Write detailed and easy to understand bug reports and verify fixes
- Communicate projects risks based on test
- Conduct visual tests on desktop and mobile devices along with of automation tests and analyzing of bugs from automated reports.
Requirements:
- 4 years of professional development experience
- Strong problem solving troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with UI testing
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to escalate any QA issues and push for a suitable resolution in a timely manner
- Experience with planning scheduling and performing QA activities
- Coding experience with object oriented programming languages preferably JavaScript
- Experience with automation scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver Appium Protractor Mocha Jasmine TestNG
- Good understanding of web technologies including HTML CSS XML JSON and REST APIs
- Good understanding of modern frontend frameworks such asReact
- Experience with databases API backend systems and mobile testing (iOS/Android)
- Experience with GitLab and continuous integration build system such as Jenkins
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Required Skills:
- Expert in Manual and UI testing
- Understanding of Web Technologies HTML & CSS
- Mobile Testing
- Understanding of Git and continuous integration build system such as Jenkins
Preferred Skills:
- Coding experience with objectoriented programming languages
- Familiarity with macOS iOS iPadOS
Shift Flexibility Requirement: The incumbent must be available and open to working flexible hours with the potential for night shifts being required a few times per year during peak periods.
Compensation (Night Shift Allowance) NSA: The company will provide a night shift allowance on top of regular pay for any period worked during night shift per the terms of company policy. This provision is aimed at ensuring balanced work conditions and fair compensation.
