Job Description
The Brookline Recreation department is seeking qualified energetic and compassionate candidates for the 2025 summer camp season. Previous experience with camp programming or previous counselor experience is preferred. Hourly rates are based on camp position. The Summer Camp program will run from June 30th 2025 to August 15 2025 at three elementary schools in Brookline Ma.
Staff is required to attend 3 days of mandatory training during (TBD Late June) with specific schedules to be determined. Below is a brief description of the open positions. For a full description and application. All candidates will go through a background check through the Criminal and Sexual offender database as required by the Town of Brookline health department.
HEAD COUNSELOR
- Schedule: June 30th 2025 to August 15 2025; MF: 8:15am to 4:00pm
- Pay Rate: $19 per hour
- Requirements: Must be minimum 18 years old
- General Responsibilities: Primary caregiver for each camper in assigned group. Manage/Supervise Counselors LITs which includes the continual training of the staff. Direct supervise and organize campers throughout daily activities. Be responsible for the welfare of each individual in the group and do all possible to resolve problems. Will take part in swim lessons with campers.
