Purpose:
Develops and vets ad hoc reports writes queries on the data etc. so that others may use the data for business analysis purposes. Designs creates modifies distributes and troubleshoots recurring and ad hoc reports and applications used for business purposes. Works jointly with other Agile team members to ensure data integrity is maintained for individual reports and for the Data Warehouse. Vets and validates the work of other data reporting developers to ensure data integrity. Utilizes knowledge of relational databases business rules and best practices in software development to develop and improve datarelated reports and pipelines. Collaborates with stakeholders to solve datarelated business issues. Identifies slow processes and potential issues with ETL processes and makes suggestions for improvement
Responsibilities:
Handles moderately complex technical issues and problems independently.
Decisions on various cases based on comprehensive technical knowledge.
Identifies and resolves data and software problems.
Works with database manipulation software and/or application development (e.g. .NET SQL Python).
Applies knowledge of relational databases and cloudbased technologies (e.g. Azure DevOps Data Studio).
Documents technical work accurately.
Maintains data confidentiality.
Collaborates effectively on technical projects.
Meets technical project deadlines.
Communicates technical information clearly.
Solves technical problems effectively.
Work Requirements Experience Education and Skills:
We are looking for someone with 23 years experience
Stronger SQL development skills
Experience using CI/CD Pipelines
Familiarity with dimensional models and data warehouses
This is not an entry level position but it isnt a seasoned vet
They are going to help with some of our existing reporting processes
We will be moving to Azure and Power BI during the next year but they will start learning our existing processes. If they have Azure Cloud and Power BI experience that would be a bonus but it is not required.
