Job Description

Printpack a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products is seeking qualified candidates to fill entrylevel manufacturing production hourly positions in the Rhinelander WI plant. These positions have the potential for rapid advancement and include a full benefits package (see below).

The Quality Technician position provides a unique opportunity to get handson experience working with a skilled workforce all while improving technical & mechanical skills.

  • Understand appropriate test method and equipment to perform all required testing (and sampling) as specified by internal and external customers

  • Perform checkout of each job in Press and Laminating to include specifications film types job jacket etc.

  • Perform visual check on all samples representing material produced on shift

  • Accurately entering data into PRISM for retention and reporting

  • Perform accurate calibration checks of all equipment

  • Responsible for creating hold tags for defective material and ensuring rolls are tagged for proper identification

  • Daily use of the Xrite software and spectrophotometer

  • Maintain department 5S standards including housekeeping and stocking supplies

  • Daily filing of job jackets

  • Fire Crew responsibilities include closing fire doors

  • Being well versed in customer specifications and knowing how to identify structures for comparison to the proper spec

  • Effective communication of results to the Laminating and Press Operators as well as Department Leads

  • Use of PRISM screens to obtain job/production information
