Job Description
Overview/ Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented experienced and motivated Cloud Project Manager to lead multicloud projects using an both traditional and agile project management methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple Cloud projects simutaneously in a multicloud environment ensuring successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. The Cloud Project Manager will work closely with crossfunctional teams including cloud architects developers network engineers and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of projects across multiple cloud platforms. The successful candidate will possess expertise in cloud technologies and multicloud environments strong project management skills and exceptional communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment and be comfortable working with crossfunctional teams from different business units. A passion for cloud technologies and a customercentric mindset are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management using traditional and agile methodologies in a multicloud environment utilizing Jira as the project management and reporting tool.
- Plan design and coordinate multicloud technology solutions ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Establish project scopes translating business requirements into technical specifications and project plans.
- Develop and maintain project timelines work plans and schedules adjusting as needed to accommodate changing priorities and requirements.
- Create comprehensive resource plans to manage utilization including strategies for handling team members absences and task prioritization.
- Implement proper Cloud documentation and processes including operational procedures incident response guidebooks checklists and naming standards.
- Collaborate with customers to create a longterm Cloud roadmap.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective stakeholder communication and timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Manage project risks by identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
- Foster collaboration and communication between stakeholders both technical and nontechnical.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for secure effective and efficient project delivery.
- Lead postmortem activities to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular project status updates to management and other stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and presentation of change requests to the Change Control Board.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in cloud project management particularly in a multicloud environment.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and solution architectures from leading vendors such as Microsoft Azure AWS and Google Cloud.
- Experience managing projects using traditional and agile methodologies with a focus on multicloud platforms including integration testing deployment and monitoring.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery with excellent communication collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- PMP ITIL CSM or other relevant project management certifications are desirable.
- Technical knowledge of IT operations and infrastructure including networks servers storage and cloud technologies.
- Experience in an ITIL environment with an understanding of ITIL framework best practices.
- Comfortable with drafting and presenting executivelevel briefings.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
This is a fulltime position that requires 2 days per week onsite in Arlington VA
Desired Qualifications
Clearance Preference:
- DHS EOD 1st priority
- Any DHS badge DoD Top Secret or Secret 2nd choice
- DoD Secret or Top Secret willingness to get EOD clearance 3rd choice (it can take 45 days to obtain EOD clearance work can only begin once the clearance is fully adjudicated)
