Department: RAINN Consulting Group
Position: Director of Business Development
Reporting to: Chief Consulting Officer
Compensation: $85000K $100000/year commission

About You
You are an experienced sales/growth professional seeking to apply your business development skills in an entrepreneurial environment in service of a mission you believe in. You have cultivated relationships with key clients in the past and are fluent in business development strategies attuned to the needs and priorities of clients and prospects and at cultivating relationships that lead to closed pursuits and revenue. You are curious creative and an independent thinker eager to engage across a variety of industries and sectors including education maritime technology athletics youthserving organizations professional associations and more.
Your future responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and pursue highvalue opportunities for RCG aligning with the divisions overall growth objectives.
- Actively prospect and qualify new leads through networking cold calling and market research to identify potential new pursuits and clients.
- Respond and qualify inbound leads and convert them to new opportunities and sales.
- Establish strong longterm relationships with key decisionmakers at prospective clients building trust and credibility to close complex deals.
- Participate and lead negotiations with seniorlevel executives skillfully navigating complex contract terms and pricing structures to secure profitable business.
- Identify new RFP/RFI opportunities and develop corresponding client solutions and proposals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Lead and collaborate with RAINN Consulting Group team members on developing and responding to business development opportunities.
- Lead and collaborate with RAINN Consulting Group team members on practice development and other operational activities.
- Attract build and mentor talent to ensure team members foster collaboration and psychological safety while continuously driving innovation.
- Participate in the leadership of RAINN Consulting Group including through thought leadership identification of business risks and opportunities coaching team members and advising on the direction of the division.
Experience & Qualifications
Ideally youll have:
- Advanced degree in business marketing law or a related field.
- A deep commitment to RAINNs mission of eradicating sexual violence.
- Extensive network of contacts in a variety of industries and ability to leverage relationships to generate new leads.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets consistently particularly in complex and challenging sales environments.
- Experience developing and presenting solutions to client needs.
- Experience leading RFP/RFI pursuit teams.
- Attention to detail strong communication negotiation clientfacing and client relationshipbuilding skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively present complex solutions and build rapport with senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills to identify market opportunities develop targeted sales strategies and assess competitive landscapes.
- Ten or more years of relevant professional experience with a proven record of outstanding performance.
- Proficiency in designing and developing highquality client deliverables leveraging tools such as MS Office (PowerPoint Word Excel).
- Proficiency in working in CRM tools preferably Insightly.

Location Travel
This is a fully remote position but does require a willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally. Travel is highly pursuitdependent but could be up to 75.

RAINN Office Status
RAINN headquarters are based in Washington DC. This position may be based regionally for someone whose residence is within the continental USA. Although this may be a remote role it may require some periodic business travel to our DC offices for onsite meetings and training sessions.
Remote Work Requirements
RAINN employees are required to have a home office setup with a dependable highspeed internet connection. This must be sufficient to support all jobrelated tasks including accessing systems communicating with teams and providing uninterrupted hotline services or administrative support.
