Job Description: Environmental Geologist Engineer

Our Client is expanding its team and is seeking a talented Engineer Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join their Pensacola FL office. Relocation assistance is available for this role. Our Client is an employeeowned environmental consulting and engineering firm renowned for providing innovative cuttingedge solutions. With over 44 years of experience Our Client delivers regulatory compliance site assessment engineering and remediation services to private industry and government entities. They have successfully managed numerous cleanups at military installations Superfund sites airports and various commercial federal and state locations.

Position Overview

Our Client is looking for a dynamic professional with handson experience in conducting investigations and site assessments within regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will excel in problemsolving and thrive in a collaborative environment that promotes creativity and professional growth. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to a culture of support and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Phase I and II environmental site assessments.
  • Prepare detailed work plans for site investigations.
  • Perform site investigation activities including sampling of soil groundwater surface water indoor air vapor intrusion soil gas drinking water biota and building materials.
  • Provide environmental compliance support including data collection for permitting and/or registration regulatory compliance evaluation and preparation of plans and reports.
  • Document field activities and assist in writing technical reports.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Geology Engineering Environmental Science or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 15 years of relevant experience with previous internships being beneficial.
  • Professional registration certification or experience in geotechnical geophysics or related fields is a plus.
  • EIT PE PG or the ability to obtain a PE or PG license in other states is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 35 annually including overnight and weekend trips.
