Job Description
Banyan Search is assisting a wonderful Greensboro based company in their search for a Senior Accountant. Our client is searching for a dynamic growth oriented Senior Accountant that is adept at initiating change and process improvements. The Senior Accountant is a critical part of the Corporate Accounting team and will be responsible for:
- Research technical accounting matters and ensure company financial are in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform activities related to financial close including creating financial statements preparing journal entries completing account reconciliations and appropriate analysis.
- Ensure all internal controls related to area of responsibility are in place and appropriate
- Initiate process improvements and troubleshoot/resolve accounting issues
- Partner with all areas of the accounting/finance team to determine appropriate accounting treatments and ensure accounts are accurately stated
- Complete ad hoc projects as deemed necessary
The Senior Accountant qualifications include:
- BS/BA in Accounting with strong preference for CPA
- 3 years of experience with public accounting experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and desire to learn/grow
- Critical thinking skills
- Advanced Excel/IT skills and experience with large ERP system.
