Job Summary
The Oral History Center Student Assistant is responsible for a variety of work at the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the Special Collections Division. Specific duties for each job will depend on current projects initiatives and priorities and may include: Indexing interviews using the OHMS system in accordance with the Nunn Centers standards and style guides. Conducting general research pertaining to interview contents in order to ensure the accuracy and spellings of mentioned names and entities adding outside research and archival materials to oral history interviews as well as participating in the research process production and implementation of Nunn Center outreach initiatives including social media podcasts radio programs or other special projects and initiatives. Describing interviews/collections. Data entry. Participating in the archival collection inventory process. Digitization editing and preservation of audio and video. Other duties as assigned.
