Job Summary
The IT (Information Technology) Infrastructure Database Manager is responsible for the maintenance enhancement and performance of our database environments. This Manager collaborates with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration with Confluence and Kafka. A primary focus for this management position is to provide leadership for daytoday operations of the database infrastructure. In addition this role ensures the optimal performance security and integrity of the companys database systems. This includes managing diverse database technologies such as Yellowbrick SQL Server Couchbase and onpremises databases and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.Essential Job Functions
- Provide daytoday leadership and direction for internal team members for the safe and reliable operations of datacenter and infrastructure systems.
- Design implement and maintain database structures with a focus on Yellowbrick SQL Server and Couchbase.
- Manage onpremises database solutions and ensure their integration with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Oversee the installation configuration and upgrade of database systems and software.
- Ensure database performance security and integrity. Develop and enforce database standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to manage Confluence and Kafka integrations.
- Provide strategic input on database technologies and data management strategies.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and database backup procedures.
- Offer technical support and training to staff on database management and troubleshooting.
- Design and implement tools and solutions for business continuity and disaster management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Computer Science Information Technology or related field of study.
- Database Administrator Certification for Azure or AWS
- 10 years experience managing and administrating databases.
- 3 years direct leadership experience.
