Contract Length: 2 months
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support the implementation of Transparent Database Encryption (TDE) across all nonCardinal systems.
Duties:
Deploy Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) across all nonCardinal databases to ensure encryption at rest.
Configure and manage TDE settings keys and certificates in compliance with security policies.
Ensure minimal disruption to operations during the encryption process while maintaining system availability.
Implement and enforce best practices for database administration focusing on performance security and availability.
Optimize database performance through effective configuration monitoring and tuning.
Maintain database security by managing access controls conducting audits and monitoring for suspicious activity.
Address and resolve audit findings related to database security and operations.
Assist in creating and updating documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with audit standards.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience as a SQL DBA
3 years of indepth knowledge of TDE (Transparent Database Encryption) setup and management
3 years of familiarity with database security concepts (e.g. user authentication encryption auditing)
3 years of experience with backup and recovery technologies for databases
3 years of understanding of database performance tuning and capacity planning
3 years of proficiency in PowerShell or equivalent scripting languages for automation
Handson experience with database monitoring tools
Preferred Skills:
- Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent database administrator certifications
