MIDDLESEX COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Position:SubstituteSchool Nutrition Staff
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To prepare cook and serve hot and cold food to students faculty and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have:
A high school diploma or GED certificate with up to one month related experience or training preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the unit they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performaed by other unit members. Performs other duties as directed.
Data Utilization: Requires the ability to calculate compute summate and/or tabulate data and/or information. Includes performing subsequent actions in relation to these computational operations.
Human Interaction: Requires ability to interact with others in a cordial manner.
Equipment Machinery Tools and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment machinery tools and/or materials used in performing essential functions.
Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately loudly or quickly.
Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition subtraction multiplication division.
Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written oral instructions. Involves routine work according to clearly prescribed standard practices with some latitude for independent judgment.
Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise the judgment required in situations characterized by repetitive or short cycle operations covered by set procedures or sequences.
Physical Ability: Sitting standing walking bending reaching lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently; Finger dexterity(picking pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm) grasping(applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm).
Sensory Requirements:Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.
Environmental Factors: Tasks are usually performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dirt dust pollen odors wetness humidity rain fumes temperature machinery vibrations electric currents traffic hazards animals/wildlife toxic poisonous agents violence disease or pathogenic substances. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
