About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over6700students and employs750employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our districtconsistsof one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 14 two middle schools for grades 58 and one high school for grades 912.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and providing specialized researchbased instruction to meet the unique needs of preschool students with developmental delays and/or disabilities. Also responsible for evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional objectives and following state mandated due process procedures and functions. Contract: 186 days (plus 2 days of new teacher orientation for newtodistrict teachers the week prior to August 25 2025
Salary Range:$23208.50$49073.00/full school year. For more information please see theCertified Master Contract. Salary ranges listed are based on the collective bargaining agreement forschool year thecollective bargaining agreement has yet to be negotiated.

Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in education and teachinglicensure in Early Childhood Special Education: Birth to Age 6 as required by the State of Minnesota specific content knowledge training or job experience required before appointment and successful student teaching. Dual licensure preferred but not required.
Assignments
Special education teachers work by district assignment and may be moved between buildings and/or programs based on student needs location of certain programs student count(s) and applicable licensure.Special Education Teacherjob posting.
