The Program Manager will provide management of clinical research operations in the Emerging Infections laboratory including quality management personnel management regulatory compliance as well as collaborate with Principal Investigators and study coordinators for management of research studies. The manager will also act as liaison between the CMRI Divisions and sponsors of the emerging infections program (eg. Industry partners NIH CDC foundations) as relates to daytoday operations. Purpose of the position is to operationalize oversee and monitor assigned research projects within the Emerging Infections program of Childrens Mercy Hospital. The position will be responsible for innovating troubleshooting and improving upon research protocols and activities related to federal and industry funded research projects and nonfunded collaborative efforts within CMH and its partners. Facilitation and identification of new funding opportunities (negotiation of budgets IRB correspondence with sponsors) and assistance with applications for new grants will be required. The Program manager will also be responsible for hiring and overall supervision of staff.

• Ph.D. General Science Communications or Analytics related fields and 35 years experience Healthcare research project development. Supervisory/management experience preferred. or
• Masters Degree General Science Communications or Analytics related fields and 57 years experience Healthcare research project development. Supervisory/management experience preferred.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $36.24/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

This position is not eligible to work remotely which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Childrens Mercy locations and may not work from home.
