Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Destin is seeking a fulltime assistant spa manager for our established spa. The ideal candidate is goal oriented and growth minded with a proven background in sales management spa operations and customer service. This position is next in line for the Spa Manager position we consider this to be a MIT (manager in training) role.
ASM Performance will be based on the following metrics:
Membership Conversion / Spa Growth the key to our success is repeat business. The ASM must be able to lead by example and train our associates on securing repeat business through membership acquisition.
Team Building the ASM must hire and maintain a team of spa professionals willing and able to fulfill the spas operating hours and meeting customer demand yearround. This is both having enough teammates and the right teammates to fulfill our mission of delivering 5star spa services at an affordable price.
Coaching to Commission enrich the careers of your team by guiding them to success and collecting their available commissions related to spa growth and achievement. The spa has multiple revenue streams that deserve attention such as: Gift Card sales Upgrades and Retail sales.
What you need to succeed in this role:
Some experience in the salon/spa retail or hospitality industry (preferably management experience)
Flexible schedule this role requires a variety of hours including some nights and weekends however we make schedules a month in advance and encourage our managers to design a schedule that provides them work / life balance while also resulting in strong performance of the spa.
Passion for promoting the benefits of massage and skin care services and a passion for achievement.
Strong and clear communication skills bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus!

Maria and I wound up in the health and wellness industry by luck because it found us. One particularly memorable day Maria called me from work the stress she was under was terrible and she told me I was going to have to give her a massage when she got home. At that moment I happened to be carrying the mail in from the mailbox and saw a postcard for the Grand Opening of the Winter Springs Hand & Stone location. Knowing that I had no massage skills of my own I called and made us an appointment. Needless to say we had a life changing experience and instead of becoming members we chose to become supportive leaders.
We are now blessed to have the privilege of being the caretakers and stewards to the spas and cultures weve created. Our job is to provide a safe and positive work environment for our highly skilled licensed spa professionals. Frankly I have this job today because I cannot do what our massage therapists and estheticians do every day. We take pride in providing a place where our teammates can come and share their gifts with the world free from worry about all the stresses of operating a business.
