Position Overview: The Director Total Rewards to lead and oversee the companys compensation benefits and payroll functions across the United States Canada and Puerto Rico. This role will be responsible for designing implementing and managing competitive total rewards programs that attract retain and motivate top talent while ensuring compliance with regional regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compensation strategy benefits administration payroll operations and HR analytics. This is a senior and strategic leader in the Human Resources function and in the company.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Strategy & Management
    • Develop and implement compensation structures salary bands incentive programs and executive compensation plans aligned with company goals.
    • Conduct market analysis benchmarking and pay equity reviews to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
    • Oversee annual merit increase short and longterm incentive programs.
    • Partner with HR and leadership to ensure job architecture titling and leveling align across all regions.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Design and oversee employee benefits programs (health dental vision retirement leave policies wellness initiatives) across the U.S. Canada and Puerto Rico.
    • Evaluate and manage relationships with benefit providers brokers and vendors to ensure costeffective highquality offerings.
    • Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance with regional benefits regulations (ACA ERISA COBRA provincial healthcare mandates etc..
    • Lead annual benefits open enrollment and communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and understanding.
  • Payroll Operations & Compliance
    • Oversee multicountry payroll processing ensuring accurate and timely payroll for employees in multiple regions.
    • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations in the U.S. Canada and Puerto Rico including tax laws reporting requirements and labor standards.
    • Collaborate with Finance HR and IT teams to enhance payroll accuracy automation and integration with HRIS.
    • Manage payroll vendors and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • HR Analytics & Reporting
    • Utilize HR analytics to provide insights into compensation trends benefits utilization and payroll costs.
    • Develop and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership to support workforce planning and budgeting.
    • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits related to compensation benefits and payroll.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Lead and mentor a Total Rewards team fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Partner with HR Business Partners Finance and Legal teams to align total rewards strategies with business objectives.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on total rewards best practices and industry trends.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree ideally in a business or ITrelated field. Masters degree is helpful but not required.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in total rewards compensation benefits and payroll. At least 5 years leading a team.
  • Experience managing total rewards programs across multiple countries (U.S. Canada Puerto Rico preferred).
  • Proficiency with HR technology platforms. Workday experience is preferred.
  • Proven success in hiring for highvolume corporate and executive roles in a multicountry environment.
  • Expertise in datadriven recruitment workforce analytics and HR process automation.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Canadian and Puerto Rican labor laws and data privacy regulations.
  • Strong leadership strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive change process improvements and HR technology adoption.
  • Strong business case development skills particularly in reflecting pricing in product adoption and commercial plans.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop highperforming teams.

Pay Range

USD $131000.00 USD $175000.00 /Yr.
