About our Customer
Home service business owners have historically paid thousands for services that now can be delivered faster and at a fraction of the cost through Topline Pro.
Topline Pro has generated over $200 million in business for our customers across thousands of businesses in nearly all 50 states. Examples of some of our favorite stories include those of Jered a landscaper in Daytona Beach FL who grew his business from $70k to over $2.2M and Lauren a painter in Adrian MI who started and grew her business to nearly $1M. Both in about a year of working with Topline Pro.
Our customers tend to be in the field and on the move which drives our ardent focus on simple and intuitive yet powerful mobile web app design today and in the future native mobile app design. Weve found innovative ways to meet our customers where they are both inside and outside our application.
About the Role
Were hiring an AI Engineer to join the team here in Boston which provides an opportunity to have a significant impact on the product. Come help us scale to the next level!
You will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on a small yet growing team and culture. Our Engineering organization currently operates in three Agile pods. In this role you will work within one of those pods reporting to the VP of Engineering.
What youll do
- Enhance AI Agent and Chat Capabilities Develop AIpowered assistants that help our customers run their small businesses
- Deploy & Scale AI Features Build infrastructure and pipelines to support realtime AI interactions in a production environment
- Experiment & Iterate Prototype new AI applications evaluate their performance and continuously refine them based on user feedback
- Work closely with our engineering leaders contributing strategically and playing a key role in the product development process
What were looking for
- 2 years of experience in AI ML or NLPrelated engineering roles / 5 years experience as a software engineer
- Excellent problemsolving skills to address dynamic complex problems early
- Experience with OpenAPI embeddings vector databases and retrievalaugmented generation (RAG)
- Familiarity with LLMs and NLP techniques including prompt engineering finetuning and evaluation
- Experience deploying AI models in production environments (e.g. cloudbased APIs realtime processing)
- Experience working on empowered team with Product and Design as equal counterparts
- Preferred experience with some of the following: Django frontend web UI framework PostgreSQL
- Preferred proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow PyTorch or Hugging Face
- Experience in an Agile Scrum environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with a passion for learning
- Goofball who loves having fun
