WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Aging and Disability Services is seeking a dynamic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSWC) to investigate abuse neglect selfneglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults in Montgomery County Maryland. These clients are seen in the community in their homes. The employee will need to be able tofacilitatea safety plan with the client in crisis situations. The employee should be able to work well in a multidisciplinary team. The employee in the position must have reliable transportation be able to work well independently and have strong written and communication skills. This position requiresa high levelof organization and the ability to prioritize competing client needs with case documentation.
The employee willbe responsible forconducting assessments providing case management services and Adult Protective Services (APS) investigations of vulnerable adults who are atrisk of abuse neglect exploitation and selfneglect.
Employee willbe responsible forproviding social work services to adults 18 years of age and older with disabilities frail elderly adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or individuals with mental health challenges. Major duties include investigation of reported allegations of vulnerable adults at risk in the community and intervention to ensure client safety in the least restrictive environment.
The employee will alsobe responsible forthe completion of comprehensive psychosocial assessments and development and implementation ofappropriate plansof care crisis intervention of emergency psychiatric petitions asappropriate preparation of court reports and testifying in court.
Additional duties include consultation and collaboration with other staff within the Department as well as with collateral agencies such as the Montgomery County Police Department Developmental Disabilities Administration Montgomery County Public Schools Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services local hospitals local nursing homes assisted living facilities the Crisis Center the County Attorneys Office States Attorneys Office private attorneys and relevant public/private agencies as required to assure an efficient and integrated care management program.
Employee will have regularly scheduled daytime oncall responsibilities.
Employee will also need to have the aptitude to learn and master computer technology related to case documentation needs.
Timeliness in client contacts documentation and follow up reports are critical elements to the position
Experience: Two 2 years to includea minimum 3000 hoursof professional experience renderingsocial work services under the supervision of a LCSWCin accordance withMaryland Board requirements.

LICENSE:
Must be licensed as a Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical LCSWC by the Maryland StateBoard of Social Work Examiners prior to appointment.

Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class C (or equivalent) drivers license from theapplicants state of residence whenfor jobrelated duties
Wewilluse preferred criteria screening questions:

Are you Licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to practice social work at the LCSWC level
Do you have experience with an electronic case management program as well as use of other office systems/equipment.

Experience working with vulnerable adult populations including adults with disabilities and frail elderly persons.
Ability to work independently and multitask under the pressure of firm deadlines and mandates.
Ability to work part of a multidisciplinary team and to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to prepare effective documentation of case activities and prepare business documents.
Proficiencywith an electronic case management program as well as use of other office systems/equipment.
