Responsibilities

We are growing our Global Health and Safety team and need an experienced ergonomics professional to join our team to establish a global program and implement processes to protect employees. As the Ergonomics Program Leader you will be the recognized subject matter expert and lead the organization in the application of engineering and ergonomic principles for existing and new processes equipment design and ergonomic program planning training and implementation. The ergonomic program leader would be expected to provide ergonomic job assessment training and use of our ergonomic software. You will participate and lead as appropriate specific ergonomics initiatives/projects as needed. You will collaborate with other Health and Safety Professionals Engineering Medical and other stakeholders to provide appropriate control measures.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a design team.
  • Extensive knowledge of ergonomic design and principles.
  • Excellent written and communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills including comfort interfacing with senior leaders.
  • Ability to train individuals on safety procedures and safety equipment.
  • Strong relationship builder solid influencing skills and the ability to coach at multiple levels
  • Knowledge and interest in applying and shaping emerging safety technologies
  • Willing to travel as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Factors Engineering Ergonomics Health Sciences or Engineering (Kinesiology Human Kinetics Exercise Science Engineering or BioPhysical Engineering) with an ergonomic focus preferred or related field required
  • Certified Professional Ergonomist certification desired but not required
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a manufacturing setting
