Job Description
Serves event leaders and guest groups with exceptional customer service by providing intentional meeting room set up and quality audio/visual support.
Responsibilities
- Setup breakdown and cleaning of event meeting areas including tables chairs audio/visual equipment and other furnishings
- Perform shipping and receiving functions related to events such as loading unloading delivering or moving conference materials
- Under the direction of the A/V and Conference Services Manager supervise the work of summer staff and temporary staff
- Assist as needed with specialized duties of the A/V and Conference Services Unit such as: operating AV equipment during events audio recording equipment inventory control
- Aid Program/Event Leaders during conferences and events concerning setup details changes special events moving supplies etc.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to work and solve problems under pressure
- Ability to operate audio/visual equipment unsupervised and with excellence in all circumstances.
- Must be patient polite and friendly with program leaders guests and employees in all departments
- Able to make good decisions
- Able to function effectively as part of a team as well as to produce high quality work on an individual basis
Education Work Experience and Other Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Must possess a valid drivers license
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent weekend and evening work
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds at times
- Work on a computer for an extended period of time
- Operate heavy equipment/machinery
- Work at heights up to 100 feet on catwalk platforms and in lighting coves
- Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead
- Able to work in a variety of work areas
- Work will include significant amounts of bending stretching kneeling twisting climbing and lifting on a daily basis
