Job Description

  • B.S. required; clinical experience strongly desired.
  • Previous experience in Information Systems like Meditech IDX Patient Keeper Epic GE etc.

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.

Under the direction of the Team Leader II the primary responsibilities of the Analyst II will focus on promoting electronic clinical systems adoption in support of patient care hospital departmental support including analyzing integration of systems and other hospital initiatives within the IS Department. The incumbent will participate and guide the design development testing implementation and ongoing maintenance of new and existing hospital applications.

The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to manage hospital data independently accurately and effectively with attention to patient privacy and detail. To do these activities requires understanding of the flow of data through complex architecture performing thorough data and system analysis and a developed appreciation for the consequences that erroneous data could

  • Able to selfmanage based on assigned tasks assuming full ownership of overall outcomes from start to finish. Demonstrate complete comfort facilitating group projects towards a successful completion of goals. Can effectively interact independently; facilitate decision making with users and administrative leadership in multiple venues and environments.
  • Able to lead projects in the role of project manager for various clinical initiatives.
  • The incumbent will communicate work and project status to senior management and team members and is expected to work with project teams across many functional areas.
  • Able to independently conduct meetings both formal and informal including major departmental meetings user meetings and at a professional level.
  • Act as a role model to other analysts in a coaching role. Able to delegate tasks appropriately within the group.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of clinical / operational workflows and be able to incorporate into design and implementation of applications.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks based on critical milestones.
  • Able to identify complex problems their probable causes their impact on operations report them appropriately and offer possible solutions and decide on the optimal course of action; able to independently and /or collaboratively bring problems to complete resolution.
  • The incumbent will perform super user training and be available to assist as needed in system implementations.
  • Able to provide user support which includes but is not limited to direct user support during posted support hours executing a backup plan for system downtimes and reporting/responding to user issues.
  • Able to independently create test scenarios and test scripts and execute testing in an integrated environment while incorporating quality management concepts.
  • Stays current with industry trends as they related to job responsibilities; able to incorporate impact of industry trends into how systems are designed tested implemented and supported.
