EPSi is a dynamic analytic software system used for supporting decision making at the individual hospital entities and within Partners as a whole. Results are reporting proposals for new programs and service expansions initiatives regarding cost containment and controls departmental level flexible budgeting and variance analysis and various other projects and determinations. Accordingly this position allows for exposure to both clinical and financial operations (the latter including Managerial Accounting Payroll & General Ledger) as well as interaction with all related levels of personnel (analysts clinicians & managers) throughout the organization.
Duties
Assist in implementing the PHS Decision Support System across other Partners entities.
Evaluate test and implement enhancements to all Decision Support applications across the Partners System
Train new and existing users on all Decision Support applications; including the clinical and financial databases
Update system logic to reflect changes in external coding ie: ICD10 DRGs etc. .
Provide ongoing support to enable users to derive maximum benefit from the applications.
Create and update userfriendly documentation a current data dictionary FAQs and other resources for system users by incorporating this information on the Decision Support SharePoint Website.
Provide analytical support for special projects and data requests.
Participates in Cost analysis related to Patient Affordability efforts.
Help develop the Cost Data Mart within Partners Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Assist in automating analysis similar to the Cost Dashboards which combines data from multiple systems into a comprehensive presentation.
Prepare presentations and ad hoc reports as required.
Assist with maintaining and promoting the data integrity of the patient database

QUALIFICATIONS:
B.A. or B.S. degree preferably in Accounting Finance or Analytics.
Three to five years experience in a Healthcare setting.
Minimum of two years direct experience with a Decision Support System with fluency in financial and patientfocused applications.
Ability to blend technical expertise with knowledge of healthcare business fundamentals to solve users decisionmaking challenges.
Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills and experience interacting with staff at all levels of the Partners System.
Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail excellent follow up and thoroughness.
