Job Description
Under the direction of the section supervisor and manager performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures utilizing independent judgment and maintaining responsibility for assigned duties. Must be familiar with all phases of the laboratory to include chemistry urinalysis blood bank and hematology. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces. Must also be familiar with specimen processing protocols for both inpatient and outpatient proceduresWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred. Excellent communication skills and writing skills. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces. Must be familiar with all phases of clinical chemistry and urinalysis including microscopy.
