Quality Technician 1

Schedule: MF 8:00am 5:00pm

Salary: $45000 $60000

Summary:
The MTI Quality Technician is responsible for continuously improving production systems to ensure that product conforms to specifications while operating in the most costeffective manner without compromising customer expectation quality or safety. Provide plant and supplier quality technical support in new product development current products and production assembly as well as nonproduction functions. The Quality Technician will champion and maintain MTI Quality Management Systems and drive a safety culture.

Responsibilities

Checking and auditing quality throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes. Reporting quality defects to quality management.

Assisting with root cause analysis.

Ability to use pc software including MS Excel MS Word MS Powerpoint MS Outlook and MS Teams.

Support manufacturing quality improvement and product quality assurance.
Inspecting manufacturing product and process. Gathering quality data and assisting quality management in quality solutions and quality improvement.

Be selfdriven and responsible.
Works independently and in teams while improving quality and efficiency.
Effectively communicates to Quality and Production Management including Manufacturing Engineering.
Interfaces with Technical Support and Customer Support on customerreported quality issues.

Partners with Quality Management to audit SOPs and Work Instructions and ensure alignment to manufacturing process and best practice.

Executes quality processes ensuring company does what is said.
Completes quality orders for each product that requires a quality order to be completed.

Assists with internal quality audits and executing Quality process.
Supports production teams with quality awareness and continuous improvement efforts.

Training & Accountability

Drives a culture of safety and accountability leading by example and in collaboration with other leaders.

Supports and holds leaders accountable for reporting incidents and following through with corrective action as needed.

Qualifications

02 years Quality Technician experience.

CQT certification preferred.

Associates Degree or higher preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrates ability to work with manufacturing/production leaders and teams suppliers and purchasing to ensure delivery goals are met with quality.

Preferred Experience with manufacturing.
Preferred Experience with QMS systems.
