Summer 2025 Internship Position
Laboratory Assistant

We are currently seeking a student for a Laboratory Assistant position in our laboratory located in SaintHyacinthe.
What you will do:
Prepare and identify materials used for embryo production.
Participate in production quality control procedures (pH and temperature measurements).
Participate in the fixation of cell structures staining and slide mounting. Read slides under fluorescence microscopy.
Assist technicians with routine production operations as needed (e.g. oocyte research and fertilization semen preparation embryo transfers and freezing and culture media preparation).
Sterilize laboratory equipment and maintain work surfaces.
Prepare stock solutions according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
You will possess the following qualifications among others:
Student who has successfully completed the first year of biotechnology (DEC)
Mastery of pipetting techniques and asepsis
Attention to detail
Organization and observation
Teamwork and communication
An analytical and scientific mindset
