DSHS DDA Health Records Technician 1

Developmental Disabilities Administration(DDA) is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for a Health Records Technician 1 (HRT1 position in the Health Information Management (HIM) department. This position ensures the security and confidentiality of protected health information and requires knowledge of general health information management. We are looking for a detailoriented individual to join our highly motivated team at our Yakima Valley location.

Note: Opportunities performed onsite at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5 premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

Who should apply
Associate degree and at least two years of experience in HIM or in a healthcare privacy and/or compliance office or related area.
Or
Combined experience in the above areas may be substituted year for year for experience desired.

Positions generally require current and ongoing accreditation through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
