Business Analyst- Revenue Systems

Bachelors Degree in Business IT HIM Healthcare or related perferred.
Minimum of 3 years related experience including experience with healthcare finance systems.


Ability to apply revenue cycle workflow to the design of information systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
Ability to effectively conduct small meetings both formal and informal.
Selfmotivated independent and possesses the ability to learn quickly
Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization
Ability to assimilate and understand new software releases and succeed in a changing environment
Ability to review project deliverables for completeness quality and compliance with established project standards.
Ability to document and communicate the status of progress against plans taking corrective action as necessary

The Business Analyst reports directly to the Business Analyst Manager within the Revenue System Support Team; s/he is part of a team dedicated to front line support creation of test scripts creation of functional specs and general process improvements. Area of Support Includes:

MedeAnalytics
Huron TRAC/ONTRAC
CPSI
VRS
File transport


Provides technical MedeAnalytics Huron VRS and CPSI expertise and experience for successful product support
Responsible for creation reconciliation and distribution of weekly CPSI reports
Responsible for weekly generation and distribution of Huron reports
Work collaboratively with Cash Posting department to test new 835 payers in the VRS application which would include all aspects of the testing process.
Administer access to payer websites MedeAnalytics and TRAC/ONTRAC application.
Reconcile and maintain daily tracking logs for MediAnalystics.
Provides assistance with the daily Huron imports.
Responsible for the transport of 837 and 835 files to Cobius as well as extracts received from Cobius.
Responsible for the TRAC DNB process
Serve as back up for missing remit process.
Supports departmental/ functional team with application and information system knowledge
Completes specific tasks as directed.
Tracks and resolves issues and action items
Recognizes communicates and escalates concerns relevant to critical path and/or timeline of issues in a timely manner.
Develops and maintains models of business and system requirements
Documents and analyzes business processes
Develops subject matter expertise and maintains models and documentation of business and system requirements
Analyzes business processes to ensure proper system configuration
Business Requirements gathering
Creates and maintains all required functional specs and user documentation
Attends weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities issues change communications and updates
Support Business process improvement (workflows) to optimize system use
Support Policies and Procedures
Data definition and design and adherence to corporate model
Influence and negotiate with others to meet project deadlines
Manage multiple small to midsize projects and drive projects to completion in a complex environment.
Provide assistance with other tasks as needed.
