Overview
The SAP UI5 Fiori Consultant plays a pivotal role in the development and implementation of userfriendly applications using the SAP UI5 framework and Fiori design principles. This position involves translating complex business requirements into intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. The consultant works closely with crossfunctional teams including business analysts project managers and endusers to ensure that solutions are aligned with organizational goals and deliver value. The role is critical for ensuring that SAP systems are accessible efficient and meet the modern demands of digital transformation. With the increasing importance of UI/UX in software design the SAP UI5 Fiori Consultant must stay updated with the latest trends and continuously improve the applications to match the evolving needs of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SAP Fiori applications using the SAP UI5 framework.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Design user interfaces that provide seamless user experiences.
- Integrate applications with backend services via OData and RESTful APIs.
- Optimize applications for performance and responsiveness.
- Conduct unit tests and debugging of applications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on best practices.
- Maintain documentation for designs configurations and user manuals.
- Work closely with UX designers to ensure adherence to Fiori design guidelines.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues in existing applications.
- Implement security measures in applications to protect user data.
- Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning sessions.
- Train and mentor junior developers and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and UI/UX design trends.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 5 years of experience in SAP UI5 and Fiori development.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience with OData and RESTful web services integration.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform and other cloud technologies.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in developing applications for multiple devices and platforms.
- Familiarity with SAP development tools and environments.
- Knowledge of SAP backend systems is a plus.
- Experience in user testing and gathering feedback for improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Previous experience in clientfacing roles is an advantage.
