Job Description

Sponsored by theDepartment of Religion the Abrahamic Program for Young Adults (APYA) seeks to draw on the rich history and presence of religion at Chautauqua Institution by providing opportunities for interfaith dialogue and service to early career adults interested in ministry chaplaincy or interfaith work more broadly.

APYA coordinators will help lead worship services facilitate conversations and provide religious education to the Chautauqua community during the Summer Assembly. Coordinators will also have an opportunity to develop their own group project based on mutual interests and vocational goals.

About Your Compensation

Compensation for this position is $15.50 USD per hour.

About Your Schedule

Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules full and parttime for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Seasonal employment may be available earlier (preseason) and beyond season (postseason) based on business needs and candidate availability.

While you will confirm your final schedule at the time of an interview and offer of employment you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:

You will be scheduled to work an average of 40 hours/week spread across six days. Scheduled hours will include evenings weekends and holidays based on business needs. If you foresee going above 40 hours of work in a week please speak with your supervisor to seek approval first.

Your first day of work will be Tuesday June 17 2025. Your last day of employment will be on Sunday August 17 2025.

About Living on the Grounds

Employer provided housing is included with this position. You will have your own private bedroom but you may have to share a bathroom with members of the same sex.
