This Vacancy is located in the Gaming Audit Section in Orleans Parish.
This position can be used to fill a job probational or promotional appointmentAs part of a Career Progression Group vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Auditor 1 2 or 3dependingon the level of experience of the selected applicant.
The Auditor 1 (pay grade level AS614 has a minimum salary of $1544.00/biweekly; $3345.00/monthly.
The Auditor 2 (pay grade level AS615 has a minimum salary of $1652.00/biweekly; $3579.00/monthly.
The Auditor 3 (pay grade level AS617 has a minimum salary of $1892.00/biweekly; $4099.00/monthly.

Minimum Qualifications
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR
Six years of fulltime experience in any field plus twentyfour semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting auditing business finance management economics quantitative methods or information systems; OR
A bachelors degree with twentyfour semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting auditing business finance management economics quantitative methods or information systems; OR
A bachelors degree in accounting auditing finance business administration management economics information systems quantitative methods or statistics; OR
A bachelors degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation; OR
An advanced degree in accounting auditing finance business administration management economics information systems quantitative methods or statistics; OR
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. Job Concepts
- FUNCTION OF WORK:To conduct audits to improve practices promote effectiveness and efficiency and ensure compliance with laws rules and regulations.LEVEL OF WORK:Entry.SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Typically direct from a higher level supervisory audit position.SUPERVISION EXERCISED:None.LOCATION OF WORK:May be used by all state agenciesJOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from Auditor 2 by the presence of receiving close supervision during audit assignments and by having less decision making authority with an audit program.

- EXAMPLES LISTED BELOW INCLUDE BRIEF SAMPLES OF COMMON DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS JOB TITLE.PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL TASKS ARE INCLUDED.May conduct financial operational and/or compliance type audits for an agency.Assists in developing an audit project program and/or testing procedures.Assists in preparing audit reports and follow up to determine if corrective action has been taken.Performs financial audits by examining a variety of fiscal documents to ascertain the validity of information reported and the dependability of record keeping and reporting practices of an audited entity.Performs operational audits by analyzing and testing to determine if operational effectiveness and efficiency are being achieved according to business unit strategic objectives and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of process controls.Performs compliance audits by testing to identify noncompliance with applicable laws regulations contractual obligations or agency policies and procedures.May perform special audit projects and investigations as requested or required.Uses effective sampling techniques during audits as warranted.Uses data processing information systems software and other automated tools to assist in performing audits.
