Are you ready to make an impactful difference for generations to come Nwestco is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires a mix of technical aptitude problemsolving skills and handson work in the field. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful of environmental projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
This fulltime opportunity offers adventure and stability. The pay range is $20 $26/hr based on experience and skills. We also offer full benefits PTO and 401k.
Your Mission:
Independently plan and manage daily schedules determining site visits and necessary preparation.
Accurately collect document and input environmental field data into Microsoft Office applications.
Conduct groundwater and soil sampling with precise methodology.
Operate and maintain field equipment including digital and mechanical meters.
Hazardous waste services storage tank services Environmental Site Audits.
Utilize construction tools and light machinery including skid steers and trailers.
Load unload and transport materials safely and efficiently.
Assist with site preparation including setting up and removing temporary structures and tools.
Work in environments that may contain dust fumes wet/dry chemicals or uncontrolled conditions.
Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe practices or conditions.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership to ensure project success.
Perform daily site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Other general environmental staff services as applicable and based on experience.
What You Bring to the Table:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous fieldwork construction or mechanical experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook) for data entry and reporting.
Ability to work independently managing your own schedule and workload effectively.
Experience recording data accurately and communicating findings clearly to the team.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems with a willingness to learn field repairs and maintenance.
Ability to operate or learn to operate machinery such as skid steers and trailers.
Strong physical stamina and ability to perform laborintensive tasks in variable weather conditions.
Reliable punctual and able to adapt to changing job site requirements.
Strong teamwork communication and problemsolving skills.
Before You Leap:
Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco LLC.
All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:
Ability to pass a preemployment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb) twisting pulling kneeling and squatting.
Ability to pass preemployment drugscreening and background check. If the position is classified as safetysensitive it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test including screening for as a condition of employment.
A valid drivers license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
