JOB SUMMARY
The Ready Start Para Educator works in a CoTeach model supporting the instruction of 35 year old children including children receiving special education services. This position is responsible for assisting in implementing the district adopted curriculum.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to Program Administration and the Early Childhood Teacher.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a classroom environment; may experience frequent interruptions; may be required to assist students outside in inclement weather; provides supervision on regularlyscheduled field trips. May be required to attend evening meetings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
An Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and successful work experience in an Early Childhood setting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to establish successful work relationships with staff and students; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to apply basic knowledge and competency in academic subject areas; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations; and ability to follow directions.
Licenses/Special Requirements
A First Aid / CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
SALARYSalary is based upon the currentESP Salary Schedule(Level I); placement on the salary schedule will be determined by Human Resources DOE. FLSA NonExempt.
