RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
- Inspect vehicles according to the states requirements for emissions and safety
- Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks including oil changes tire rotations transmission flushes air conditioner recharges frontend alignments battery installations and headlight/taillight installations
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and inaccordance with dealership
- Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostictools and special service equipment
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can beinformed if any additional service is needed.Providing an estimate of timeneeded for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have at least 1yearof experience as an Virginia State Inspector
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast learner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team player
- Computer literate
- Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid State Inspectors license
- Valid drivers license
- High School Diploma
