RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
  • Inspect vehicles according to the states requirements for emissions and safety
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks including oil changes tire rotations transmission flushes air conditioner recharges frontend alignments battery installations and headlight/taillight installations
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and inaccordance with dealership
  • Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostictools and special service equipment
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can beinformed if any additional service is needed.Providing an estimate of timeneeded for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have at least 1yearof experience as an Virginia State Inspector
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast learner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team player
  • Computer literate
  • Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Valid State Inspectors license
  • Valid drivers license
  • High School Diploma
