Reports to the Regional Chair of Administration Hospital Practice. In close partnership with enterprise credentialing and in accordance with local bylaws this role manages ongoing Mayo Clinic Health System consulting staff OPPE FPPE and other quality appointment related activity at Mayo Clinic Health system sites. Works closely with site regional Personnel Committee chairs secretaries Personnel Coordinating Committee chairs and secretaries Department/Division chairs Operations Administrators Mayo Legal Human Resource Information Systems The Joint Commission (TJC) external regulatory surveyors; and Credentials Verification.
Provides strategic direction and leadership to the MCHS medical staff office and is a liaison between health system leadership and the enterprise credentialing office. Shares responsibility to ensure completion of all administrative support across all MCHS sites. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all Physician Collaborating Agreements for all Mayo Clinic Health System sites. This position is also responsible for ensuring MCHSs ongoing compliance with licensing regulatory and accreditation bodies.
Bachelors degree in a related field and five years of credentialing or medical staff office experience which includes at least three years in a supervisory or management role. Prefer Bachelors degree in Business Human Resources or Healthcare Administration. Masters degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred. Knowledge of licensing regulatory and accreditation credentialing standards required. Strong ability to work effectively with physicians and ancillary staff. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to perform complex problem solving related to health care management. Strong quantitative organizational and administrative skills. Strong leadership and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new business units and service lines. Knowledge of and experience in continuous quality improvement techniques and operations. Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) / Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
