Job Description
Great opportunity to work with a global chemical leader in a Corporate Equipment Engineering role supporting strategic Rotating Equipment initiatives for chemical plant sites. Offering competitive salary bonus STI and relocation options.
- Ensure safe costeffective operable rotating equipment and associated systems are provided and maintained to meet current site needs.
- Provide support on prioritization of machinery related projects.
- Work in a team environment with other disciplines operations mechanical personnel
- Direct improvements for increasing plant reliability.
- Specify new rotating equipment to comply with industry and company design practices.
- Provide technical training to mechanical and operations personnel.
- Provide QA/QC on repairs onsite/offsite.
- Provide vendor surveillance on major machine repairs.
- Periodically review rotating equipment performance
- Provide assistance during plant startups shutdowns and/or upsets.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years experience with industrial rotating equipment in chemical or refinery industries.
- Extensive knowledge of compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal) pumps (reciprocating and centrifugal) fans and blowers
- Knowledge of Industry Standards (i.e. API ASME PIP etc.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priority items.
- Demonstrated work experience as SME for Rotating Equipment.
