Located on a beautiful 10acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale Devereux Arizonas 24hour RTC and Therapeutic School has the capacity to serve 48 children. The campus is a safe and supportive environment that supports youth ages 5 to 17 who are experiencing emotional behavioral or substance abuse challenges. Our onsite day school is yearround with 227 instructional/grading/inservice days 36 preset holiday break days 18 additional float days and accumulated sick time (information reflected for theschool year). We work with students on social/communication skills coping mechanisms verbal/physical aggression and emotional/behavioral challenges that impact overall functioning.
As a General Education Teacher you will develop lesson plans and proficiently deliver curriculum using available digital teaching methods through a distance learning educational model that is aligned with state standards. Our classroom sizes range from 812 students with a 6:1 studenttostaff ratio including 12 direct care professional staff members in the classroom for additional support. Teachers assess student performance objectives on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Our Teachers have immediate access to school support staff teaching materials and supplies and a state of the art database with tracking capabilities to help with data accumulation. Teachers are required to align content within the Arizona State Standards and Common Core Standards as well as collaborate with teaching colleagues to plan facilitate and teach highly effective literacy instruction
Salary: $50000 $55000
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00am 3:00pm

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field
- Arizona General Education Certification (or AZ Elementary and/or Secondary Teacher Certification or K12 General Education Certification)
- Understanding of learning theories related to working with multiple handicapped individuals
OTHER:
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
- Valid Arizona Drivers License & pass DMV 36month history check
- Preemployment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
- Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
- Ability to attend full time paid New Hire Orientation for two weeks MondayFriday 8:30am5pm
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions).
