Our Property & Casualty (P&C) Transformation practice helps insurance clients improve and transform their commercial specialty personal and Excess & Surplus businesses in areas such as operating model redesign capability assessment and roadmap design business process transformation technology and data enablement organizational design and postmerger integration. We work across the value chain across distribution products underwriting policy claims and billing.

The opportunity

Increased customer expectations new data sources advanced analytics and innovative technology have enabled insurance carriers to become better faster and more efficient. We currently are seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to join EY engagement teams deliver consulting services and develop business with our clients: the largest providers of Property and Casualty Insurance. Our P&C Insurance Transformation practice helps our clients to reimagine modernize and disrupt how they succeed in the market and create longterm sustainable value.

In this role you will help our clients achieve their desired goals and business objectives. In return you can expect to learn leading practices in business and technology transformation delivery and gain exposure to solving a variety of complex business challenges using digital and transformational tools methods and technologies.You will gain exposure in all areas of the insurance value chain including but not limited to product development sales/distribution new business/underwriting policy administration and claims.

Your key responsibilities

• Consistently deliver high quality client services.
• Understand / communicate complex operational insurance issues and establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
• Monitor progress manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about engagement progress and expected outcomes
• Stay abreast of current industry trends relevant to the clients business.
• Understand process design and industry pain points
• Demonstrate indepth domain knowledge technical capabilities and ability to assimilate new knowledge and possess good business acumen
• Present industry and client key findings to leadership
• Remain current on new developments in consulting services capabilities and industry knowledge
• Stay informed of and apply professional standards and firm policies
• Commit to developing a strong personal brand by staying informed regarding economic/market developments and their impact on the firms clients

To qualify for this role you must have

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems Engineering Business Economics or related disciplines
• Minimum of 35 years of consulting and/or industry experience in P&C insurance commercial specialty personal or Excess & Surplus lines
• Strong oral and written communication skills including executive presentation skills
• Experience assessing and improving business processes systems and associated technologies
• Understanding of P&C insurance products and the insurance operations processing lifecycle
• Experience documenting business processes related to insurance operations
• Experience with one or more of the following business functions: product development sales/distribution new business underwriting post issue servicing policy administration and/or claims
• Travel to client site as necessary

Ideally youll also have

• Advanced degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems Engineering Business Economics or related disciplines
