This job is in our NanoPositioning Metrology Division (NPMD) where we design develop and manufacture the worlds most precise displacement measurement instruments used to control motion in semiconductor equipment making the worlds next generation ICs microprocessors and flash memory chips. Your work will advance the state of the art of precision measurement helping to push the boundaries of this technology into picometer territory!
In this role as an intern you will be a key member of a team of manufacturing engineers who support our high mix/low volume production of precision optomechanical laser interferometry system products in our world class Santa Clara factory. You will also work closely with R&D teams developing the products and processes for the next generation of these products. The ideal intern is one who takes a proactive approach to issues then rolls up theirsleeves to troubleshoot and correct the issues.
This is a 6 month CoOp Position that would last from April to September
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Working towards BS and/or MS in Computer Science Computer Engineering or EECS
- Experience with software development and test
- Experience with object oriented languages. C C# Java
- Basic understanding of hardware
- Strong data analysis skills. Excellent communication skills
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
