Accountant / Buchhalter (d/f/m) in Frankfurt Germany

Are you a team player with a passion for numbers Were looking for a motivated and selforganized Finance & Accounting Accountant (d/f/m) who thrives in a fastpaced international environment and will be responsible for the balance sheet and profit & loss for Germany as well as supporting Europewide improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices payments and manage outstanding receivables with customers and vendors
Manage General Ledger (GL) accounting Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries account reconciliations and monthend closing processes
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with German tax regulations including VAT reporting and corporate tax filings
Audits: Coordinate with auditors and prepare required documentation for internal and external audits
Support process improvements Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems ensuring efficiency and compliance with local regulations
Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams across multiple locations providing financial insights and guidance
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
3 5 years of experience in accounting with knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
Familiarity with German tax laws and VAT reporting requirements
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel
Experience working in multinational environments is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently and as part of a team
