Bridge Engineer
Location: Charlotte NC
Employment Type: FullTime Onsite
LaBella Associates is seeking a skilled Bridge Engineer to join our Charlotte office. This role will focus on the analysis design and detailing of bridge projects for state and local DOTs working under the guidance of our Senior Bridge Engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects collaborate with a talented team and grow within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Bridge Project Design: Lead the analysis design and detailing of bridge projects adhering to local and state DOT standards.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with senior bridge engineers to ensure highquality project outcomes.
- Client Interaction: Attend project meetings and conferences as required serving as a professional representative of the firm.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering from an ABETaccredited institution.
- Experience: 710 years of bridge engineering experience ideally with exposure to NCDOT and local government projects.
- Licensure: PE license required.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with MicroStation OpenBridge Modeler AASHTOware AutoCAD and MathCAD is preferred.
- Structural Knowledge: Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design.
- Skills: Strong communication organizational abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
- TeamOriented: A strong desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
