Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Valid Oregon TSPC License with proper endorsements or ability to obtain prior to position start date.
- Standards of moral character as required of all Oregon licensed educators (OAR
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with
- Teaching experience and skills for teaching in this position.
- Coaching experience at various age levels
- Experience with Adaptive PE; knowledge of strategies and modifications to accommodate students with disabilities or special needs.
Miscellaneous:
- Candidate may be considered for Athletic Director Position
Summary of Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for K12 student academic achievement including instruction and discipline
- Provide Health and Physical Education instruction
- Evaluate academic and social growth of students and maintain appropriate records
- Participate in curriculum and/or faculty committees as interested or required
- Establishes clear criteria for student success supported through effective instructional strategies related practice opportunities and prompt actionable feedback.
Professional Characteristics:
- Classroom & Behavior Management Effective strategies to maintain a safe respectful and structured environment in both gym and outdoor settings.
- Motivation Skills Ability to inspire students of all ages to be active and develop healthy habits
- Strong Communication Clear effective communication with students parents and colleagues.
- Adaptability Flexibility to teach students from a wide range of grade levels and modify lessons as needed
- Organizational Skills Ability to plan execute and manage multiple activities including field trips events and sports teams.
- Teamwork & Collaboration Ability to work with other teachers administrators and staff to integrate physical education into the broader school curriculum.
Salary and Benefits:
- As per Certified Teachers Salary Schedule FYapprox. $46511.5088116.74
