JOB DESCRIPTION
FULL TIME
Location: Tulsa OK
The Oral Roberts University School of Liberal Arts invites applications for a fulltime faculty position in French Beginning in August 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our department is looking for a dynamic individual to promote our French language program including study abroad opportunities in the Francophone world. The candidate duties include but are not limited to teaching elementary through advanced levels of French including French Phonetics Composition and civilization and culture courses as well as academic advising. Additional responsibilities may include overseeing our Cultural Center where students receive language tutoring.
Besides teaching assigned courses fulltime faculty members are expected to:
- Participate with students in research
- Attend chapel services and academic meetings
- Serve on academic committees
- Support student activities
- Hold office hours for mentoring and advisement
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have native or near native fluency in French. While a masters degree in French is preferred candidates with a masters degree and at least 18 graduate hours of coursework in French may be considered. Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective teaching and leadership skills. Knowledge of educational technology and openness to expanding these skills are a must.
