Auburn Career Center
Superintendent Position Available
The Auburn Career Center in Lake County Ohio is seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent. The successful candidate will possess the following experiences and skills:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Current State of Ohio Superintendent license
- Successful experience in career and technical education leadership position
- Visionary educational leader that promotes the pursuit of educational excellence
- Ability to engage business communities local and state politicians and area school districts in promoting the opportunities available to area students
- Proven ability to develop and nurture effective professional relationships with all employees
- High level of professional integrity and possessing a strong work ethic
- Successful experience as an innovator in providing career and technical educational opportunities
- Successful experience with strategic planning and
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Successful experience as a Ohio school superintendent
- Successful experience in expanding capacity and program offerings
- Knowledge of Ohio Joint Vocational School funding
- Successful experience in collective bargaining
Compensation and employment terms:
The successful candidate will be offered a multiyear contract. The Board of Education will offer a compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
Tentative Timeline:
- The Board of Education will be accepting applications through April 14 2025
- First round interviews will be held April 28 May 2
- Final interviews will be held May 5 May 7
- Employment action May 8
- Start of employment no later than August 1 2025.
