Job Description
The University Housing department is seeking employees for a summer assignment to provide wall prep and painting services in the residence halls. The position will help maintain all University Housing facilities in a safe clean and sanitary condition. This position will be responsible for patching and painting wall surfaces in preparation for the fall 2025 move in.
The University of Tennessees Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Painter with University Housing. Through temporary assignment placements Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates work schedules and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits annual leave or sick leave accrual.
Length of Assignment: Approximately 2.5 months
Work Schedule: MondayFriday 8AM5PM
Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour
Responsibilities

- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to work with both a diverse customer and employee base
- Ability to accept directives and instructions and carry out same.
