Your Opportunity
Lead our amazing team supporting homeless or displaced people that are under the influence of alcohol or other and are at risk of harm.
As the Team Leader you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the shelter. You will support the Program Manager and lead staff in providing quality care while overseeing key operational functions like stock management staff supervision and service delivery. This role requires a handson diplomatic and organised individual who is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Oversee shelter services ensuring clients receive safe and supportive care during their recovery process.
- Provide supervision and guidance to staff to meet best practices in service delivery and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock and inventory management maintain accurate records in MA Connect and support the Program Manager with various administrative tasks
- Conduct intake assessments support frontline staff and ensure culturally sensitive and respectful client interactions that contribute to their health and wellbeing
- Assist with staff scheduling and be available for oncall responsibilities taking on a full week every 46 weeks to ensure operational continuity.
Requirementsfor Success
With a significant background in AOD and/or Community Services sectors you will be confident in your assessment processes. Other requirements include:
- Tertiary qualified or Diploma in a relevant field desired with minimum 1 year experience in a similar position.
- Demonstrated professional approach to the role including maintaining professional boundaries.
- Sound verbal and written skills to document case plan outcomes and advocate for the best interest of the client
- Strong computer literacy skills with ability to learn new software programs quickly
- Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain would is desired.
- Highly developed administrative skills and the ability to provide support to management.
- Proven time management skills.
- Selfmotivated with inspiring cando attitude.
- First Aid Certificate is desired.
- Full driver licence with no restrictions.
Before starting work with us you will need to undertake a national police history check qualifications and referee checks and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
