Infant Nanny Needed PartTime with Potential for Additional Hours Alexandria VA
A loving family in Alexandria VA seeks a nurturing and experienced nanny to provide attentive care for their 4monthold son. The position is parttime Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM with additional hours to be added as the parents transition back to work.
The ideal candidate will align with the familys balanced parenting approach which emphasizes fostering independence maintaining consistent routines and engaging in respectful communication. The family values a caregiver who can provide a warm and structured environment while allowing their son the space to explore and develop at his own pace. The family seeks a nanny who supports a childs growth enjoys nature and spending time outdoors and fosters a joyful structured and stressfree parenting environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and developmentally appropriate care for a 4monthold infant.
Follow a structured daily routine including feeding naps and ageappropriate activities.
Encourage independence and exploration in a safe and supportive manner.
Communicate with the child respectfully setting firm yet gentle expectations.
Cultivate patience by allowing the child to navigate frustration and problemsolving.
Assist with child laundry bedding and dishes as needed and maintain a clean and organized play and feeding area.
Collaborate with parents to ensure consistency in care and parenting philosophy.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years previous experience caring for infants with strong knowledge of infant development.
A warm patient and engaged approach to childcare.
Ability to uphold the familys values of structured routines independence and respectful communication.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Nonsmoker and uptodate on vaccinations.
Benefits:
$23$25/hr
