SCHEDULE: 7 days on / 7 days off
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess a commercial pilots license with instrument rating.
- Must possess analytical abilities sound aviation judgment problem solving skills and the ability to provide guidance for those under his/her supervision.
- Must possess above average interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with FAA staff and hospital personnel.
- Must demonstrate leadership skills to participate in professional and community education program and to effectively maintain good public relations for the institution
- ATP preferred or obtained within two years of date of hire
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate prior to starting employment
- 3000 total flight hours.
- 2000 total helicopter hours
- 500 PIC in helicopters
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in various environments to include airports in our service area and at the scenes of accidents and disasters.
- Requires scene and unimproved landing areas.
- Work requires carrying and lifting equipment of various weights and assisting the safe stretcher/backboard transfer of the Life Flight patient into the aircraft.
- Must be physically able to move about and work effectively in confines of the aircraft cockpit in which he or she is assigned.
- Governed height and weight regulations in accordance with Life Flight policy manual.
