Job Description Summary
As a Move Out EcoRep you will support the Office of Sustainabilitys Ditch the Dumpster & Donate program to achieve their goals of diverting as much waste as possible from the landfill and making the moveout process more ecofriendly. You will assist in managing the donation stations to ensure that good quality clothing furniture and household item donations are collected and sorted into the proper storage location.
Responsibilities
In this role you will direct students and parents as they sort their donations into various streams including clothing furniture household items electronic waste etc. There will be 4 donation stations one for the main campus residence halls (PralleSodaro Henley Sandhu Glass Davis Morlan) one for The K one for Chapman Grand and one for Chapman Court. On your application please specify which donation station you are applying to be an EcoRep at. You can list more than one if you would be willing to work at multiple locations. This is an hourly paid position that requires minimal experience and will take place from Wednesday May 21 to Saturday May 24 in increments of 4hour shifts 8AM 12PM 12PM 4PM 4PM 8PM. You are required to sign up for at least 2 shifts during this period. Late moveout will also be offered to Move Out EcoReps living in Chapman residence halls with an extension given until Monday May 26 at 12pm (noon.
Required Qualifications
Available to sign up for at least 2 fourhour shifts 8AM 12PM 12PM 4PM 4PM 8PM) between Wednesday May 21 to Saturday May 24. You must attend a training course prior to move out week (several date and time options will be available as well as virtual options) consisting of general instruction on what items should be accepted/rejected where the different donation streams will be other communication and coordination instructions.
