Job Description
The Department of Public Health in the School of Science Mathematics & Allied Health is seeking a fulltime tenuretrack position in Public Health at the Assistant/Associate level. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in public health and other related courses. Other responsibilities include curriculum development and assessment University committee service student advising and maintaining a high level of professional activity. Preference will be given to those candidates who strive to be master teachers who are committed to the mentoring of students who have a welldeveloped research agenda and have a strong desire for securing external funding. A 1215hour teaching load (four/five courses) is expected each semester. Additionally other responsibilities/duties may be added at the discretion of the Chair Dean or Provost. Saint Augustines University SAU drawing on its rich legacy as an access institution is a studentfocused comprehensive educational institution that produces outstanding graduates prepared for personal and professional success. SAU was established in 1867 in Raleigh NC by the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina. A fouryear liberal arts university with an average enrollment of approximately 1000 SAU sits on 105 lush acres just north of Downtown Raleigh NC. The institution offers more than 20 undergraduate degrees and a Master of Public Administration MPA Program and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges SACSCOC . Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in public health or related field is preferred. MPH Degree Candidates will be considered.
