Extended School Year Occupational Therapist
Reports To: ESY CoordinatorDanvers Public Schools is seeking an Extended School Year Occupational Therapist for the ESY program. This is a nonbenefited parttime seasonal position for the 2025 summer. This is a MondaythroughThursday program running from July 7 2025 to August 7 2025Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team during the Extended School Year Program (ESY) for students with disabilities. The OT will work with students to enhance their ability to perform daily activities and academic tasks focusing on developing fine motor skills sensory processing selfregulation and independence. Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized therapy interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student focusing on areas such as fine motor skills coordination sensory integration and selfcare.Provide direct oneonone and small group therapy sessions to students with physical developmental or sensory challenges.Collaborate with special education staff to integrate therapy goals into the students academic programs and classroom activities.Support students in developing skills that will help them participate in daily school activities such as writing using classroom tools selfregulation and peer interactions.Assist in modifying classroom environments materials and tasks to promote independence and facilitate learning for students with physical or sensory challenges.Monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students ensuring therapy goals are specific measurable and aligned with academic objectives.Track and document student progress through data collection assessments and progress reports.Ensure compliance with all ethical standards and regulations related to occupational therapy services in schools.Additional Information:
